What will the webinar cover?

A sponsored worker’s employment may change after their visa has been granted. A promotion, revised duties, a move from full-time to part-time work, a salary adjustment or an internal transfer can all affect the information originally provided to the Home Office and the employer’s ongoing sponsor duties.

Employers must assess proposed changes before they take effect. Depending on the circumstances, the change may need to be reported through the Sponsor Management System, may require a new Certificate of Sponsorship and immigration application, or may mean that sponsorship must end.

Participants will hear from an immigration lawyer at Seraphus about:

  • How changes to job titles, duties and seniority can affect the occupation code and whether a new application is required
  • What to check before changing hours or salary, including a move from full-time to part-time work
  • Which changes must be reported through the Sponsor Management System and when
  • How to manage promotions, restructures, internal transfers and temporary changes
  • Changes to normal work locations, including an overview of hybrid and fully remote working
  • What employers must do when a worker leaves or moves to another employer
  • Practical record-keeping and common compliance risks

The webinar will use practical examples to show how different types of job change should be approached and where employers may need to pause before implementing a contractual change. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A session.
